Ok here are my plans for the Halloween Party... You should have received 2 emails from sign up genius re: Halloween Party: Items Needed and Things to Do Please sign up asap so that i can finalize plans before next weekend. If you have any questions please let me know. Note: You will get credit from the fundraiser for bringing something and for showing up to help, so if you cant attend the party, make sure you send something in so you get credit! Saturday 10/29: Please arrive at 4pm, so we can go over your dance and what you will be doing & set up... What to wear: Fun Halloween Costume – please no blood or scary masks…. Think about the adorable 3yr olds that will run screaming from you if you do! 5pm- guests arrive There will be about 25-30 children ages 3-12ish... Studio will be set up with 5 different areas. Craft, Coloring Corner, Story Time, Balloon Animals and Pass the Pumpkin Greeters will greet the guests as they arrive and bring them into the studio. Have them go to make their trick or treat bag right away. Once everyone has arrived, make sure they are all participating in something, see if anyone needs help… Craft: Guests will decorate bags with stickers and crayons to go trick or treating After they finish their craft, they can go to: Story Time - fun Halloween books from the Library. Nothing too scary… face painting - don’t forget the demo card for them to choose what they want you to draw. Coloring Corner Balloon Animals Pass the Pumpkin - does anyone have a small or medium sized stuffed pumpkin that we can borrow? The game is done the same way as pass the beanbag, only one person will be in charge of pausing the music like freeze dance, and the other will be in charge of running the game... Don’t have anyone be "out" just start it again with everyone still sitting in their spots. Once everyone has finished - Contests, clean up/set up Costume contests for all of the guests such as Best Hair, Best Make up, Best Costume.... Make sure everyone wins for something... While they are doing that, everyone else will be cleaning up their stations and setting up for the 2nd half of the party. Parade/Trick or Treating 2 teachers will lead the Parade through the shopping center- the stores will have a trick or treat picture in the window if they will have candy for us. Poke your head in to let them know we are there. They might want to meet us at the door so we don’t all go running into their store and wind up breaking something! 2 teachers will stay in the back of the line to make sure no one escapes... Everyone else can take a younger one by the hand and walk with them, or help "corral' the parade and make sure no one runs into the street. Performance Team Demo We will perform "Party on the Floor" – No uniform needed – just Halloween costume! Weather Permitting - we will perform in front of Anytime Fitness. If it is rainy, I am working on a back up plan... When we get Back to the Studio Picnic: Food will be set up in the Lobby; Make sure food stays in the lobby, not in the dance room. Set up an area where the guests can sit down on the floor to eat... Food: see signup genius – if you would like to bring something please make sure it is sugar free (I promised the parents we wouldn’t sugar them up and then send them home.) In Dance Room: Pin the Broom on the Witch - Lindsay has made the game, we will hang the witch on the back door next to the bathroom, let me know if you have any questions... Prize: (i have enough for everyone to get one after they play) Freeze Dance - a teacher will do the music, other PT dancers will get everyone up and dancing. Limbo - self explanatory Prize: (i have enough for everyone to get one after they play) Musical Pumpkins - print or draw 6 pumpkins, the size of a sheet of paper. They will be used as the "chairs" in musical chairs. a teacher will be stopping and starting the music for freeze dance, you can use that for your game as well. Prize: (there should be enough for everyone to get one after they play) Bean Bag Toss - Meg and Emily have made the box... I have bean bags to use. Prize: Candy ( there should be enough for everyone to get one after they play) After Dismissal – please stay to help clean up and take home your decorations and left over food!
